I AM RENOVATING, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

THE DANGERS

  • PCB can be absorbed through the inhalation of dust or ingestion of contaminated food (e.g. in the flesh of some fish) or by direct contact.

  • PCB then spreads through the body and can cause lesions in the liver, problems with growth and fertility, and cancers by disrupting the hormonal system.

  • When heated, PCB is transformed into dioxins.
